Pirates, a little ahead planning will save you a lot of money if Munich's Christmas markets are on your bucket list.
Take it from someone who's lived there -- they're absolutely beautiful and worth a trip. There are so many, too, you'll need a bit of time to visit them all. The Christmas markets usually start at the end of November and end on 24 December (but make sure to check the official webistes before you go).
We've spotted some great prices for a 3-night package with direct flights from £280. The package includes a stay at the 4-star Hotel Munich City Center affiliated by Meliá, which has recently been refurbed, it's got a gym and a sauna on site.
We usually see prices like these for 2- or 3-star hotels, which are further out. You'll be right in the centre and your hotel has great reviews on Tripadvisor.
