Pirates, I came across a video of a lake in Austria, called Hallstatt, and I just knew it had to be next on my list. But, I quickly found that the accommodation prices in this area were really expensive.

However, Salzburg is the nearest airport, with cheap flights from London, and much cheaper hotel options. So, why not make it a Salzburg city break and then travel to Hallstatt for the day?
