Mateys, we are looking to the end of the year when hopefully travel is much more accessible than it is right now and one place that has always fascinated us is Chernobyl.

We have put together a great trip including return flights, a day trip to Chernobyl and a choice of fab Airbnbs.

We usually see trips to Chernobyl for over £200* each so this is a fab price for a 3-night break with tour tickets included too.

About your stay

We have hunted out 3-awesome Airbnbs with the cheapest one being a gorgeous two-level design studio for under £120 for 3 nights for the whole apartment.

The flat has everything you could need for a home away from home, including a living area, kitchen and separate bedroom, the host also offers the option of FREE cancellation so you won't lose your money if you change your mind.

Chernobyl Itinerary

  • 7.30 – Meet in Kiev

  • 7.30 - 7.45 – Passport check

  • 7.45 - 9.45 – Drive to Dytyatki Checkpoint, the main entry point to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

  • 9.45 - 10.30 – Police checkpoint (passport checks)

  • 10.30 - 11.30 – Visit Chernobyl town: including the evacuation memorial, museum of robots, Lenin" s monument

  • 11.30 - 13.00 – Chernobyl Power Plant outdoor view (just outdoor), the new sarcophagus over Reactor 4 (just outdoor), the Prometheus monument

  • 13.00 - 13.45 – Lunch

  • 13.45 - 15.45 – Explore Pripyat: red forest (viewpoint), School , the hospital, river port, Pripyat Café, Hotel Polissya, the central square, amusement park (with Ferris wheel), the football stadium and swimming pool

  • 15.45 - 16.30 – Abandoned military base with Duga Radar Station

  • 16.45 - 17.30– Pass through radiation control at the exit from the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

  • 18.00 - 20.00 – Drive back to Kiev
