Pirates, Amsterdam can be expensive. That's why we were pretty chuffed to spot this winter long weekend from £201.

For that price, you'll get well-timed flights that maximise your time over there, and three nights at the 4-star Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark, which has good reviews and a central location. Going for two nights costs £175, so we thought it was well worth the extra £26 quid to throw in an extra night.

It's cheapest to fly from London, but you can also fly from Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol for not too much more.
