The best price is just before the Christmas markets open, so we think it's worth the extra bit of cash to go in the most festive period. But, if you're really looking for a bargain getaway, according to a Stockholm tourism site (see below), there is a Christmas market (Jul i Stenladan) in Steninge slottsby, located about 45 kilometers from Stockholm, open from 11 November!
