The Scandi countries: beautiful, welcoming and oh-so expensive. Well… not always. Here's a 2-night break from Lastminute.com for £101. Yes, we had to rub our eyes too.

The deal comes with a 20% saving and includes flights and a stay at the Cityhub Copenhagen hotel.

Worried the hotel is a bit of a hole? Ye of little faith. OK, it's a budget hotel. But a good one: modern, clean and with a remarkable 4.5/5 rating on Tripadvisor. Just be aware that the rooms are small and the bathrooms are shared.

It's not the most central location, but you can walk to Tivoli Gardens in less than 20 minutes. Freetown Christiania and the Little Mermaid statue are both about 30 minutes away using public transport.

  • Other durations, airports and travel dates are available but they cost more
