Arrr, mateys, we've spotted an island in the Caribbean off the coast of Belize that is right down our alley!

There is a fun pirate-themed atmosphere going on and you can just book a beach cabana and visit or book the whole thing as a group!

King Lewey's Island Resort sits 12 miles off the coast of Placencia in Belize.

You can just book a cabana on the island and go solo or as a couple, or you can make this a group stay and rent the entire island!

There's a piraty theme going on with lots of photo opportunities. While you're there, you'll get access to snorkling equipment so you can check out the fish, sea horses, stingrays, and octopus that swim around the island.

You'll stay in colourful beach cabanas, some of them over water, all of them with direct access to the sea. Each hut has their own bathroom and over-night fees include breakfast and a welcome drink!

There's a restaurant and bar on the island. You can book all-inclusive packages, that include unlimited local beer and rum. If you would like other spirits, you can bring your own when staying on an all-inclusive rate.

How to get there?

The nearest airport is Placencia, PLJ. But there are no direct flights from the UK.

You'd want to look for flights to San Pedro Sula, Honduras and then take either a connecting flight or local transport to the island.

Round trips from Placencia to the island are included if you stay for two or more nights.
