Pirates, have you heard of Plovdiv in Bulgaria? Maybe not! But it's just been voted one of the most underrated destinations in Europe by Time Out, and we can see why.

It's ancient (the oldest city in Europe in fact) and charming, with a gorgeous old town, and bursting with historical sites and a buzzing food and drink scene.
