Dominican Republic - current temperature around 29°C and sunny

Head over to the gorgeous Caribbean country of the Dominican Republic that sits in between Cuba and St Lucia and shares an island with Haiti.

It's hot right now and stays hot all-year round. And unlike of the other Caribbean islands, there are some great deals to be had.

Egypt (incl. Sharm el Sheikh) - current temperature around 23°C and sunny

With a flight time of just over five hours and great weather, it's easy to see why Egypt is a very popular winter-sun destination.

Choose from Sharm el Sheikh or Hurghada to grab some sunshine in one of the many beachfront resorts that overlook the Red Sea.

Tenerife - current temperature around 18°C and sunny

We really love Tenerife. The weather is great, there are plenty of hotels for all budgets and the flight time is only about four and a half hours. Plus, as lots of airlines fly there, there are always good deals.

It's about 18°C right now which is ideal if you like spring-like weather so not too hot and not too cold. It sometimes goes into the 20s around this time of year but rarely colder.

Malta - current temperature around 14°C and sunny

Ok, yes, Malta is not roasting hot like some of these other destinations BUT it has the shortest flight time (just over 3 hours), there's lots to do asides from the beach and it's still significantly warmer than the UK is right now.
