Swanky Lanzarote

Modern, slick and located right on the beach, adults-only Barcelo Teguise Beach is that slice of indulgence you've been craving. Spas, bars and infinity pools - this place has it all.

Situated on the volcanic island of Lanzarote, with its whitewashed houses and heavenly beaches, this 4* hotel is ideal for a romantic break.

Most of the rooms come complete with their own hot tub on the balcony, for that added sparkle. Prices in December start from £598 for a week stay + flights.

All-inclusive Marrakech

5* all-inclusive resort Be Live Collection Marrakech is incredibly well reviewed 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor and close enough to Marrakech, so you can pop there for dinner, if you can bear to leave the hotel.

There's a lush outdoor swimming pool, three restaurants, a café and a lobby lounge. Yes, there is a bar by the swimming pool and yes, we do recommend frequenting it if you get a bit parched from all the sunbathing. Right now you can book for a great £571 for a week in December with flights.

Swim-up room in Crete

This one is a bit special. 5*, naturally, the Stella Island Luxury Resort & Spa in Crete is a place we've been dreaming of visiting. Styled like a Maldives resort, the rooms are overwater, dotted around a unique lagoon-style swimming pool.

The onsite spa helps to soften the tension of daily life with saunas, hot tubs and a treatment menu that reads like our Christmas wish list. You can choose to stay all-inclusive too, dining at the onsite restaurants for that ultimate lazy holiday feel. Alternatively, the bars, restaurants and culture of the capital of Crete, Heraklion, are only a taxi ride away.

Top-rated Tenerife

This beachfront Tenerife gem really has the wow factor. Iberostar Grand el Mirador is a 5-star, adult-only resort, built in a grand colonial style.

The resort is found in Costa Adeje, on the south-west coast of Tenerife, and is LOVED by guests with an impressive 5/5 on Tripadvisor and nearly 3,000 reviews.

The hotel has an enviable location just a moment from Playa del Duque, one of Tenerife's best beaches, which is probably why guests love it here.

Weather is great all year round in Tenerife, but the heated freshwater pool that surrounds the building means you can always enjoy a dip in complete comfort.

We're not going to lie, a stay here ain't cheap. But considering everything you get at this 5-star resort, the prices in May 2024, just before the summer rush, are the best you'll find all year, so lock in your indulgent, kid-free escape now!

Boho Egypt

The 4-star adults-only Meraki Resort in Hurghada is easily one of the coolest in Egypt. The resort has three nightclubs on site, and heaps of Bohemian-style activities and relaxation areas.

The resort has seven à la carte restaurants, six bars and two waterslides: because slides are for adults too, ok!

The best prices we've seen are in January 2024, but they have great prices from November onwards.
