Pirates, this unique home near Rome is a work of art! Owner Alessandro has created a sculpture you can live in. The 1-bedroom accommodation comes with a kitchen, bathroom, terrace and shared garden use.

Imagine sipping an Aperol Spritz on the terrace after a day exploring busy Rome. The apartment is surrounded by trees and feels far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. That said, frequent and very affordable buses take you to the eternal city in around 30 minutes -- so not too far at all!

Unique airbnbs usually come at a higher cost. This one is pretty reasonable at £261* total for two nights. Prices during the week mostly come at roughly this price, but we've spotted weekend rates for the same price as weekday rates.

Combined with flights, you'll get a very unique city trip stay from under £230* per person!

If you're looking for a really unusual place to stay in Rome, then this might be your answer. The house is on the roof of Alessandro's (the owner) villa. But it's got a separate entrance.

There is a brand new kitchen fully equipped and a lounge where you can enjoy dinner or a lunch in the sun inside or outside on the terrace.

You can use the garden of the villa, too. And there's plenty of car parking space outside, should you choose to hire a car.
