It's mega expensive to visit in December, but this is a good budget option 🤫
From £65.50
Don't forget to book flightsClick hereEver fancied visiting Colmar or Strasbourg for the Christmas markets? These fairy-tale French towns are said to be the inspiration for Beauty and the Beast, and they're pretty magical in the festive season.
That being said, visiting is mega expensive. Flights into Strasbourg are over £100 in December and central hotels can easily reach £200+ per night.
But, if you're really eager to go, we've put together a budget idea. You'll fly into Basel instead from £29 return, then you can take a 45-minute train to Colmar and then continue on another 30-minute train to Strasbourg. Then we've found a hotel just outside of Strasbourg for £73 per night (£36.50 per person).
That means flights and one night in a hotel is only £65.50 per person. You'll get to see both towns on your journey... but you will be dashing around a lot.
We might be Pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. Here’s the catch: with deals this hot, things change quickly. Flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. Mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. But, if you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry: we’re working on more great offers.
