Air New Zealand to charge £200+ for a 4-hour snooze in the sky

Air New Zealand to offer economy passengers a chance to sleep in a lie-flat bed during long-haul flights

Air New Zealand has released pricing for its new Skynest bunk beds, which will allow economy passengers to grab a lie flat snooze on long haul flights.

The Skynest will consist of six bunk beds that will be located between the economy and premium economy cabins on the 787 aircrafts.

Each passenger will be able to book a four-hour session for a price of around NZ$400+/£200+.

The beds will come with pillows, sheets, blankets, ear plugs, reading lights, USB outlets and ventilation outlets.

The Skynest was unveiled in 2020 and is expected to debut in September 2024 on the Auckland to New York and Auckland to Chicago routes.

And don't worry, because if you do book one, the cabin crew will clean it and change the sheets between each person.

What do you reckon, Pirates, worth the money or no way?
