That's right, Granada in Spain came top in the research where you can enjoy a beer from around €2.19 and grab a 24-hour travel card priced at €1.23.

Best for complimentary sightseeing

If free attractions and museums are the number-one consideration when deciding where to go, then Rome, with 553 attractions and 34 museums for free, is the place for you.

The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and St Peter’s Basilica are all totally free to access.

In second place is London with 95 free museums and 487 free sightseeing attractions. However, it's worth noting that although there are plenty of free museums and sightseeing attractions, with the cost of accommodation and food considerably higher than other cities, the British capital overall has a much lower rating for budget-friendliness.
