Fancy a two-month road trip through Europe, but you don't want to or can't travel by car? Then how about an extraordinary coach trip as an alternative?

The world's longest coach journey starts in Istanbul in August 2023 and drops you off in London just under two months later. It will take 56 days and cover over 7,400 miles taking you through a total of 22 countries. The trip is being organised by the Indian expedition company Adventures Overland.

According to the provider, you'll be travelling in a "special luxury bus designed for comfortable long-distance travel". So you can look forward to plenty of legroom, reclining seats and on-board entertainment.

A total of up to 30 people can take part in the trip.

Where are you going?

Week 1: Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia

You'll start your trip in Istanbul, visit the Sultanahmet district and take a cruise on the Bosphorus before heading to Greece, Sofia in Bulgaria, Belgrade in Serbia and Zagreb in Croatia.

Week 2: Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia

From Zagreb you set off for the capital of Slovenia: Ljubljana. After a detour to the beautiful city of Vienna, you will continue to Bratislava in Slovakia.

Week 3: Czech Republic, Poland and Lithuania

A visit to Prague is a must on a trip to Europe! Afterwards, it gets historical with a guided tour of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland. Via Warsaw you'll continue to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.

Week 4: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland

After visiting Vilnius, the coach tour takes you to Riga and the best-preserved medieval city in Northern Europe: Tallinn in Estonia. Afterwards, for once, you will not travel by road, but by sea: you'll go by ferry to Helsinki.

Week 5 and 6: Finland, Norway

This week you're off to the biggest stage of the trip: Scandinavia! You will spend the longest time in Norway. First, however, you will travel from Oulu in Finland to Santa's hometown: Rovaniemi.

Afterwards, you will reach the North Cape and the northernmost point of the European mainland. The cities of Tromsø, Fauske, Trondheim and Ålesund are also on the programme.

Week 7: Norway, Sweden, Denmark

This week you will explore more super exciting cities: Bergen, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Week 8: Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, UK

The last week is about to begin! From Hamburg, you will travel to Amsterdam, via Brussels, to the French port of Calais. You will take the ferry to Dover in the UK and end your journey in London after an exciting 8 weeks!

What is included?

You don't have to stay on the coach, of course, so hotels are included for you.

Please note that there are only twin rooms, so if you are travelling alone, you may have to share a room. To ensure that you don't go hungry, meals are also included, consisting of a daily breakfast and 30 lunches and dinners each day. By the way, each person is allowed to take two suitcases.

Between the individual stops on the trip, there will always be a bus-free day for activities and sightseeing. English-speaking guides will be available at the destinations to explore the destination with you.

Now the most important question: How much will the trip cost? It'll be around £19,662 per person. Definitely not a bargain, but an extraordinary travel experience!
