This airport employs anti-stress dogs!

Long queues at security, crowds in the terminal, cancelled flights: There's no question that travelling can be pretty hectic at times.

To counteract this stress among passengers, Berlin Airport BER has hired four-legged staff who go by the names Addy, Benny, Emi and Pepper.

The summer holidays in Berlin and surroundings recently started, so things got hectic at Berlin Airport. Especially for families with small children, the start of a well-deserved summer holiday is often associated with great stress.

BER Airport has now come up with a new initiative to take the stress out of travelling for passengers.

Four so-called visiting dogs are now regularly walking through the terminals, especially at peak times such as the holidays, and are happy to be petted.

The two dachshunds Addy and Benny as well as the labrador Emi and the mixed breed Pepper are specially trained for this and you can recognize them by their orange warning vests.

In the USA, anti-stress dogs are already a tradition and they are used at many airports. BER is currently the only airport in Germany that has service dogs.

In the UK Aberdeen airport has a doggie crew. You can find out more here.
