Tuscany will pay you €30,000 to move there

It's all we've ever wanted: to live in the Italian countryside!

First of all, this is no joke. The Italian government has launched a new initiative that is offering financial incentives to people willing to move to one of Italy's many charming, less-populated towns.

You'll get:

  • A grant ranging from €10,000 to €30,000 to help cover the costs of purchasing and renovating a home.

  • A choice of 76 towns within the Tuscany reigon to choose from 😍

What's the catch?

  • €2,800,000 has been allocated to revitalise these mountain communities through this project - but you'll need to be quick, this budget won't last long

  • Applicants must be either Italian citizens, EU citizens or non-EU citizens holding a long-term residence permit, and they need to commit to registering as residents in an Italian town. Fear not UK folks, you can apply for the permit whilst applying for the initiative, so you're still in with a shot!

  • You can't currently be living in a mountain community - that community needs you!

  • Deadline for applications is July 27

  • The site is in Italian, so make sure to have a translator tool handy!
