🚂 Around the world by train in 100 days 🌍

Pirates, if you’ve ever dreamt of ditching airport queues for scenic views and a proper slow-travel adventure, this one’s for you.

Set off from London and travel across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, before crossing the Pacific and rolling into North America. No planes, just trains — and a front-row seat to some of the most jaw-dropping landscapes on Earth 👇

The British travel company Adventures by Train is offering something truly wild: a once-in-a-lifetime round-the-world journey by train (and a bit of boat) — all in just 100 days 😮

But here’s the catch, Pirates…

This one definitely isn’t budget-friendly. The full experience comes in at around €134,300 per person (roughly £112,900), so you might want to crack open the piggy bank — or ten of them.

What do you get for that kind of cash?

You’ll be travelling in luxury trains and cruise ships, sleeping in some of the world’s finest hotels and ticking off unforgettable experiences along the way. Think gourmet dinners on rails, iconic routes like the Trans-Siberian, and once-in-a-lifetime stops in far-flung places you’d normally only see on postcards.

Is it pricey? Absolutely.

Is it an adventure you'll talk about for the rest of your life? Absolutely.

If you’ve ever fancied circling the globe in serious style — this might just be your dream trip.

The Itinerary:

🚆 Departure point: London

All aboard at St Pancras International — passports ready, snacks packed.

🥐 First stop: Paris for lunch

Because if you’re going to kick off an epic journey, it may as well start with a baguette in hand.

Next train journey: From Paris across Europe 🇪🇺

You'll roll through:

France, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey 😍

Highlights:

🎻 Classical concert in Vienna

🎨 Marbling workshop in Istanbul (yes, that beautiful swirling art you’ve seen on fancy notebooks)

Then, into central Asia -

Next up: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan

Highlights:

🍷 Wine tasting in Georgia – turns out they’ve been making wine for about 8,000 years. Respect.

🚢 Ferry across the Caspian Sea from Baku to Kazakhstan – slow travel at its best.

Moving on to East Asia: China 🇨🇳 & Japan 🇯🇵

Stops include Xi’an, Shanghai, Osaka and Tokyo

Highlights:

🛡️ Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an

🍵 Traditional tea ceremony in Japan

🍜 Kyoto’s street food – if you’re not slurping noodles, you’re doing it wrong

🚄 High-speed train journeys through China (because why crawl when you can fly on rails?)

🛳️ Pacific crossing (Days 50–72)

Hop aboard the Viking Venus for a 23-day cruise from Tokyo to Vancouver

Stops include:

Sapporo, Japan

Alaska, where you’ll get up close with epic glaciers

Then, you'll be in: North America 🇨🇦🇺🇸

From Vancouver down through the States:

Seattle, Glacier National Park (Montana), Bozeman, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, the Badlands (South Dakota), the Rocky Mountains (Colorado)

🎟️ Ride the legendary Amtrak California Zephyr from Denver to Chicago

🗽 Then hit up New York City – think bagels, skyline views and that ‘I’ve made it’ feeling

🛳️ The Atlantic crossing (Days 93–100)

End your trip in proper style on the Queen Mary 2, cruising from New York to Southampton in seven cosy, elegant nights at sea.

🎉 full circle: return to London

Back where you started – but now with a camera roll full of memories and stories for days.

So, Pirates… got a spare 100 days and a decent stack of euros? This is one journey you’ll never forget.

The grand departure is set for 17 March 2026, and here’s the catch — there are only 12 spots available.

Yep, just a dozen lucky travellers will get to board this once-in-a-lifetime round-the-world train journey.

So if this sounds like your kind of mad adventure, you might want to start packing early... and maybe give your boss a heads-up about that 100-day out-of-office.
