Very often, these initiatives take place in Southern Italy, but today we have a village in Piedmont, in the province of Domodossola, where one euro houses are now available!

Piemounte is a hidden gem in the Antrona Valley, located just 14 km (about 20 minutes by car) from Domodossola and just over an hour and a half from Milan.
Surrounded the lush forests of the Lepontine Alps, the village has fewer than 300 residents and a density of less than 15 inhabitants per kilometer 😮
To reverse this trend of depopulation, the Municipality has launched creative initiatives — from €1 houses to incentives for new births and new business start-ups — earning the attention of international media.
So, how do I purchase one of these houses? There are about a hundred homes for sale, that will be symbolically sold for the price of a coffee in exchange for a commitment to begin renovation within two years of the deed.
To complete the incentive package, the administration is offering €1,000 for every newborn, €2,000 for those who start a new VAT number, and free access to nursery school and school meals, not bad!
The proposed houses, nestled in the heart of the village, promise to be an ideal refuge for those who desire fresh air, silence and a “slow” lifestyle. Sign us up!
