Caribbean-style beaches, crystal-clear water and wild rugged landscapes – Sardinia is the stuff of travel dreams.
And now, Pirates, there's a way to explore the island for free (well, nearly).
Thanks to the Leg’s Go – Women Edition initiative, women travellers can walk the Cammino Minerario di Santa Barbara, a long-distance trail through Sardinia’s old mining villages, and get up to three nights' free accommodation in selected places along the way.

Pirates, how does free accommodation in Sardinia sound? 😍
Yep, you read that right – dreamy beaches, crystal-clear sea and zero cost for your stay.
Here’s how it works:
To promote tourism in the southwest of Sardinia – one of the island’s more off-the-radar (and most authentic) spots – the CMSB Foundation has launched the “Leg’s go Women Edition”
The idea’s simple: explore the region on foot along scenic trekking routes, and in return, you’ll get free accommodation vouchers for selected hotels and B&Bs along the way.
Think of it as a proper low-cost adventure with Sardinia’s rugged beauty, friendly locals and wild coastline as your backdrop.
Got your walking shoes ready? 🥾
This one’s just for the ladies, Pirates 🏴☠️
👉You can claim up to three free nights along one of 14 trekking routes across southwest Sardinia.
How to join:
Pick one of the suggested walking routes
Choose from the list of partner hotels and B&Bs
Buy the official walker’s pass (called a credential)
And make a small donation to the foundation running the project
⚠️ Heads up: the vouchers are only valid during specific off-peak dates:
15 January – 15 April 2025
5 May – 15 June 2025
15 September – 15 December 2025
They’re not valid in the high summer months, so no freebies in July or August. But let’s be honest – hiking in 35C isn’t exactly ideal anyway.
Got questions? Don’t worry, Pirates – help’s at hand.
You can check the FAQs or contact the foundation directly:

🏢 Office hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–12:30pm & 2:30pm–4:30pm (Italy time)
📝 Not all the partner hotels and B&Bs take part in the offer, so make sure to double check the details when choosing your route.
👉 If you’re dreaming of a different kind of holiday – think wild landscapes, spectacular sea views and a proper off-grid adventure – this might just be the perfect low-cost excuse to finally visit Sardinia.
