New York 🇺🇸

New York is where it all began in 1970, a year after the Stonewall riots. The Pride march has involved into a yearly civil rights demonstration. Make sure you register if you would like to take part in the march.

PrideFest is an annual LGBTQIA+ street fair with exhibitors, food, and activities for a day of fun and celebration.

The official theme for 2024 is Reflect. Empower. Unite.

Why New York? To enjoy the place Pride was born. It’s also the 55th Anniversary of Stonewall Uprising, and the 40th Anniversary of Heritage of Pride.

Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria 🇪🇸

📆 2 - 12 May 2024 and 4 - 10 November 2024

Gran Canaria goes all out and has not 1 but 2 Prides. The first begins in May and lasts for 10 days. There will be boat parties, pool parties and of course an awesome parade.

This year’s Winter Pride is sure to be a good one, as it is the 10th anniversary of the event.

Madrid 🇪🇸

Pirates, head to MADO Madrid Orgullo, which is the biggest Pride event in Europe. people visit from from all over the world. There are street celebrations throughout the week including concerts, parties, exhibitions, cultural events and sports.

Itinerary

• Friday, 28 June: Chueca’s Pride

• Wednesday, 3 July: Pride Festival Opening (the start of 5 days of Pride parties)

• Friday, 5 July: 17th Mr Gay Spain

• Saturday, 6 July: Pride Parade

• Sunday, 7 July: Closing party

Why Madrid? You can take part in a high-heel race where the heels have to be at least 10cm high! The winner gets a meal for two. 👠

Torremolinos 🇪🇸

📆 26 May - 2 June 2024

Spain’s very first gay bar ‘Toni’s Bar’ was opened in Torremolinos in 1962.

The Torremolinos Pride starts with the raising of the flag at the Plaza de la Nogalera. The main event is the Pride parade which takes place on Saturday 1 June this year.

Amsterdam 🇳🇱

📆 27 July - 4 August 2024.

The Netherlands were ahead of the game, as they were the first country to legalise same-sex marriage.

The theme for the 2024 Amsterdam Pride event is ‘Together’. There will be super colourful decorated boats that will sail down the river. Accessibility for everyone will be an important focus.

You will be spoilt for choice during Amsterdam Pride with over 300 events and activities happening. There will be street parties, parades, and even events taking place at the beach.
