There’s an open-air cinema in Santorini that plays Mamma Mia after sunset 🪩🇬🇷

You'll have the most amazing uninterrupted Santorini sunset views and then watch Mamma Mia under the stars at Volkan on the Rocks.

Let me paint the perfect night in Greece for you. The perfect sunset view in Santorini without massive crowds. Wine. Free Greek meze platter. Oh, and when the sun goes down, Mamma Mia plays on the big screen. Too good to be true?

No, this actually is a thing, in Santorini, at Volkan on the Rocks in Thira, and we went to it! You can book a ticket for €20, which includes the screening of Mamma Mia, a seat early enough to watch the stunning Santorini sunset and a small meze platter.

I did this in October last year on a solo trip to Santorini, and it was definitely one of the most memorable nights of my trip, maybe even my life 😅. The views were incredible and considering most sunset spots are insanely crowded, it was really nice to have a seat and be able to have a beer without people fighting over the view spots.

💰 Additional drinks and food are available to buy, but keep in mind they are quite pricy after luring you in with a reasonable ticket price. I had a couple of drinks and grabbed a cheap takeaway Gyros from elsewhere after the film had finished.
