How does it work?

Swissport staff at seven UK (and Channel Islands) airports are being offered incentives to catch oversized easyJet bags.

It has been claimed in a leaked email that staff are eligible for £1.20 per bag they spot.

EasyJet's free baggage allowance is only a small under the seat bag, with a carry-on bag for the overhead locker costing upwards of £5.99 depending on the flight. But, if your bag is confiscated at the gate for exceeding the size limit, you could be charged £48 for it to be stowed in the hold.

Airports include Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow, Jersey, Liverpool and Newcastle.
