Where to travel to enjoy sunshine without jet lag ✈️☀️

Mateys, we love going to faraway destinations and enjoying the sunshine, but jet lag can be a real pain.

So, how to avoid jet lag and still enjoy the heat - we have checked out where you can enjoy some sun and beaches in the same time zone as the UK. We also listed where there is just an hour's difference in time.

Always double check though mateys, as many countries don't move their clocks forward or back. This means they may only be in the same time zone as the UK half of the year.

This also means that other countries will be in the same time zone for the other half of the year.

1. Canary Islands

The Canary Islands never fail to impress, they have year-round sunshine and the flights are only around four hours.

There are flights from loads of UK airports from a choice of airlines. This makes the Canary Islands the perfect destinations for remote workers in the same time zone.

The main Canary Islands visited by us Brits are Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura. Other smaller islands include La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.

2. Portugal & Madeira

Two more hot destinations with no time zone difference and mainland of Portugal and island of Madeira. They both stick to the same time zone as the UK throughout the whole year.

There are many places to enjoy beaches in Portugal. And, as Portugal has a choice of cities on the coast, you can have a complete beach holiday, or stay in a city that has a beach too.

3. Gibraltar

Being part of the UK makes Gibraltar a great place to visit. The language used is English and you don't need to change your money to another currency.

Gibraltar has a Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers. Making any time of the year a great time to visit.

4. Tunisia

Another year-round destination is Tunisia in North Africa. The beaches are stunning and there's a choice of places to stay.

Here you will find a large choice of hotels, with the all-inclusive board option being really popular, and one of the best values for money.

Tunisia is one of the destinations that don't change their clocks, so it is only in the same time zone as the UK for half the year.

5. Morocco

There are so many different types of holidays you can enjoy in Morocco. You can enjoy a beach break, a city trip, and it is also popular to tour around Morocco.

You can choose from a wide range of different accommodation. Maybe a 5⭐️ hotel is up your street, a self-catering apartment or a traditional Riad.

Morocco is another country that doesn't change its clocks. It is only in the same time zone for some of the year.

However, Morocco does change its clocks during Ramadan.

6. The Gambia

The Gambia is currently an hour behind of the UK, but it will be on the same time zone when we move our clocks back in October.

Enjoying year-round sunshine, it isn't as popular with tourists yet, so you can make the most of this beautiful country before the crowds arrive. We've even seen a few all-inclusive options and swim-up rooms.

7. Senegal

Another African country that is currently an hour behind the UK, and will change to the same time zone in October is Senegal.

Senegal is nice and warm all year long. There are stunning beaches, choice of hotels and a visit to the capital Dakar is a must.

🏴‍☠️ tip: You can do mega cheap safaris in Senegal
