Where’s the best place to party? 💃🏻🕺🏻 Here’s the world’s most fun countries, ranked 🍅🪩

Pirates, the way we travel has changed a lot. These days, it’s not just about ticking off the big sights or snapping a selfie at a famous monument. More and more of us are after real experiences, and the kind that make a trip unforgettable.

And that means the spotlight is shifting. We’re now looking for places that bring good vibes, late nights, and memories that stick around long after your tan fades. A fresh ranking reveals which countries really deliver when it comes to fun, especially if you’re chasing excitement, not just sun loungers.

Some people travel to soak up history and tick off iconic sights. Others? They’re in it for the buzz – a break from the daily grind and a chance to enjoy that sweet feeling of freedom. If you're the kind of pirate who’s all about good vibes and letting loose, this one’s for you.

A new ranking has revealed the top countries where fun isn’t just a bonus – it’s baked into the culture. The annual Best Countries list by US News surveyed nearly 17,000 people from around the world – including business owners, uni grads and socially active folk – to find out which destinations do best when it comes to having a good time.

So, where does the party really never stop? Spain takes the crown 🇪🇸

If you’re dreaming of a country where partying is basically a way of life, and the streets buzz with energy long after midnight – Spain’s calling your name.

It’s no surprise that Spain topped the list of the most fun-loving countries in the world. After all, where else would you find La Tomatina – the epic tomato-throwing battle that turns the streets of Buñol into a massive red war zone every year? It might not be your standard tourist attraction, but that’s exactly why thousands of people flock there from around the globe.

Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza – these aren’t just cities, they’re legends in the world of nightlife. Think open-air festivals, beach raves, rooftop bars, world-famous clubs… the list goes on. But fun in Spain isn’t just about loud music and dancing till dawn. It’s also about the lifestyle – sharing tapas, late-night chats, and the kind of social scene that just flows.

That said, popularity comes with its problems. In places like Barcelona and Mallorca, locals have started pushing back against the downsides of mass tourism – skyrocketing rents, overcrowded streets and rising prices. These concerns are now part of wider public debates, not just in Spain but across southern Europe.

Where else should you head if you're chasing good vibes and great nights out? 🌎

In at number two is Brazil 🇧🇷 – the land of samba, carnival and living your best life. Music and dancing aren’t just weekend pastimes here, they’re part of the everyday. Carnival in Rio isn’t just a party – it’s a national celebration. For a few wild days each year, the city turns into the world’s biggest open-air festival, bursting with colour, rhythm and pure energy.

According to the US News survey, Brazil was also voted the sexiest country in the world. And honestly, that checks out. There’s just something about the carefree vibe, the warmth of the people, and the joy that’s always in the air.

Next up: Thailand 🇹🇭 – the only Asian country to make it into the top 10. It’s a proper backpacker’s dream, with a bit of something for everyone. Start in buzzing Bangkok, hop up to the temples and night markets of Chiang Mai, then make your way down to those postcard-perfect islands where the parties happen right on the sand.

Whether you're into wild full moon raves or quiet jungle retreats with chilled beats and fairy lights, Thailand’s got you covered. It’s no wonder digital nomads, solo travellers and sunseekers feel right at home here.

Italy 🇮🇹 takes fourth place – and no surprise there. This is a country where fun comes with flair. Summer concerts under the stars, open-air film festivals, the masked madness of Venice Carnival, and the daily joy of an evening aperitivo in a piazza – that’s the Italian way of doing things.

And in the south, the locals have a whole calendar of food festivals – called sagre – where each weekend is dedicated to something delicious, from chestnuts and truffles to mozzarella. These events come with live music, dancing, and more than a few wine refills. It’s proof that fun doesn’t have to be loud or wild – it can be stylish, tasty and full of charm.

Here’s how the rest of the list shapes up:

5. Mexico 🇲🇽

Think turquoise beaches in Cancún, buzzing nightlife in Mexico City, and a culture bursting with colour, flavour and music. Whether you're sipping tequila in a rooftop bar or dancing at a street party during Día de los Muertos, Mexico delivers a proper feast for the senses – day and night.

6. Greece 🇬🇷

If you’ve ever been to Mykonos, you’ll know why it made the list. This lively island doesn’t sleep – ever. From beach clubs and sunset DJ sets to all-night dancing under the stars, it's a go-to for summer madness. But Greece isn’t all about partying – there’s plenty of laidback tavernas, live music and local festivals dotted across the islands too.

The rest of the top spots?

France 🇫🇷, the USA 🇺🇸 and Australia 🇦🇺 all made the cut too. Each one brings something different to the party – from chic soirées in Paris and rooftop bars in LA to coastal festivals in Sydney and Melbourne’s live music scene. They might be worlds apart, but there’s one thing they’ve all got in common – they know how to show you a good time.

So Pirates, where to first?!
