Where's hot in October? Read about the best autumn-sun destinations
Wondering where you can go in early autumn and still get a lovely suntan without breaking the bank?
We've put together a list of some of our favourites including Mexico, Tenerife, Las Vegas and more.
You might think that October is a bit late to find some sunshine, but fear not, we've got our smartest Pirates working around the clock to find destinations that are all 23°C+ with plenty of sunshine.
While everyone else is distracted paying through the nose to get away in July or August, now is the best time to start thinking about a great-value sunny holiday in October.
Get something booked in before it's too late.
FYI: half term is Monday 23 October-Friday 27 October for most schools this year.
1. Cancun (Mexico) - 27°C+
Let's start off with a real scorchio destination! Expect great weather every day in Cancun as well as lush beaches and lots of tequila.

2. Algarve (Portugal) - 23°C+
The Algarve region of southern Portugal is always a popular destination for UK travellers with low-cost flights, lots of hotels, great beaches and a short flight time.

3. Las Vegas (USA) - 28°C+
Being in the desert, it's no surprise that Las Vegas has nice weather all-year-round.
But even still, October is a great time to visit when it's a little cooler so you can enjoy the hot weather without just living in air-conditioned hotels and malls.

4. Cyprus - 22°C+
The beautiful island of Cyprus sits in the south of the Mediterranean and therefore, enjoys longer and hotter summers being nearer the equator.

5. Tenerife (Canary Islands) - 24°C+
To be honest, all of the Canary Islands are hot in October but we think Tenerife generally offers the best deals as there are the most flights and loads of hotels to pick from.

6. Dubai (UAE) - 29°C+
Dubai is another one of those destinations that is hot all year, including October.
Expect long and sunny hot days and balmy evenings and don't forget your sun cream as it's almost guaranteed to be roasting hot.

7. Malta - 24°C+
To round out the list, we've got another favourite of ours, the central Mediterranean island of Malta that sits between Sicily and North Africa.
Expect warm days but perhaps take a light jacket for the evenings.
