Pirates, if you want drop-dead gorgeous, you can do a lot worse than Naxos, one of Greece's Cyclades islands. Think its pricey? Think again.
We've found this rather lovely hotel with a swimming pool and a location right by the sea for £23* a night, that's £11.50*pp if two people share! You'd be lucky to get change back for buying a round in London for that much.
If you want a holiday in Greece take advantage now, prices and availability won't hold out for long and there are fantastic rates between May and October, whether you are travelling as a group or as a couple.
There is also a free transfer to and from the port and free parking. Accommodations are Cycladic-style studios and one-bedroom apartments with private balconies and kitchenettes with refrigerators, with daily maid service.
It might actually be hard to spend less than £11.50*pp per night in Greece...💸
✈️ Now flights aren't included, obviously, and unfortunately there are currently no direct flights from Naxos to the UK. What visitors often do is fly direct to Athens and then catch a direct flight from there to Naxos which is around 50-minutes. We've seen prices London-Athens for £30 one way with Wizz Air and Athens-Naxos with Volotea airlines for around £35 one way. So you could be looking at around £150 return, depending on departure airports.
It might be a bit of faff getting to Naxos, but the island is widely regarded as one of the most affordable Greek islands to visit, so your money could well go further here 💸.
