• Rovinj (approx. 30 mins away): Its pastel-coloured old town juts out into the sea on a small peninsula. Wander the cobbled lanes up to the Church of St Euphemia and take in the sweeping views over the coastline.

• Pula (approx. 10 mins away): Pula is all about Roman history. The world-famous amphitheatre is an absolute must – perfect for an afternoon of culture, an espresso on the square, and dinner along the waterfront.

• Fažana & the Brijuni Islands: The charming fishing village of Fažana is right on your doorstep. Boats head out daily to Brijuni National Park, known for its wildlife and fascinating history.
