HolidayPirates: Participation Terms and Conditions
“Newsletter Campaign September 2026”
1. Competition and organiser
The promoter of this online competition, “Newsletter Campaign September 2026” (hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”), is HolidayPirates GmbH, Neue Grünstrasse 18, 10179 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “HolidayPirates”). Participation in the Competition is governed exclusively by the following participation terms and conditions.
2. Participation
2.1 Entrants must be at least 18 years old to participate. Employees of HolidayPirates and its affiliated companies, and their family members, are excluded from participation.
2.2 Participation in the Competition is possible only during the period from 14 September 2026 at 10:00 local time until 4 October 2026 at 23:59 local time. There is one prize with a value of €4,000. Participation in the Competition is free of charge.
2.3 Anyone who registers for the Family Newsletter via the sign-up widget on the Competition page by 4 October 2026 and subsequently confirms their registration by email will be entered into the Competition. Existing newsletter subscribers must re-enter their email address via the widget on this webpage << LINK >> in order to enter the Competition. User actions may trigger further Competition-related emails. Confirmation of the subscription is required in order to participate in the Competition.
2.4 Only entrants who meet the conditions described in clause 2.3 will be entered into the Competition. HolidayPirates cannot be held liable for late and/or incomplete entries.
3. Prize draw and awarding of the prize
3.1 Only the prize specified below will be drawn:
One holiday worth €4,000. The travel budget may only be used to book flights and accommodation required for the trip. Confirmation of the bookings must be sent to us after the trip has been booked. Only one prize is available across all participating markets (Germany, UK, Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands and the US) in the Competition. Any amount remaining from the original prize value after the trip has been arranged (including flights, other transport and accommodation) cannot be used by a third party who is not connected with the prize.
3.2 The winner will be notified by email at the email address provided by the participant in accordance with clause 2.3. The draw will take place after 4 October 2026. The winner must, using the contact details specified in the notification, confirm receipt of the notification and provide their name and address within two days of being notified of the prize by the Competition promoter. Otherwise, their entitlement to the prize will lapse and the prize will be awarded to another entrant. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they check their email account for notification of the prize from HolidayPirates.
The prize values communicated during the Competition through our communication channels are converted into local currencies using the foreign exchange rates applicable on the campaign start date. If the prize consists of participation in a trip, the details of the trip will be arranged in consultation with the winner.
3.3 The winner must travel within one year of claiming the prize. Failure to do so may result in the prize being forfeited.
3.4 Delivery of non-cash prizes is free of charge in all participating markets. This applies to one delivery attempt. Any subsequent transport costs and other expenses, including customs duties and taxes, must be borne by the winner.
3.5 The right to the prize may not be assigned or transferred. The prize cannot be paid out in cash, supplemented or exchanged. If, for any reason, the prize cannot be made available to the winner, HolidayPirates reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of equivalent value.
3.6 The trip won in the prize draw will be arranged by HolidayPirates. HolidayPirates is not liable for the execution of the trip.
3.7 The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Facebook and Instagram are not available as points of contact regarding the Competition.
3.8 If the prize involves travel, the winner must start their journey from one of the participating countries: Germany, the UK, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, the US or Spain.
3.9 Winners are responsible for ensuring that their passport, visa and any other required travel documents are valid and up to date for any trip they arrange with HolidayPirates. If, after arranging the trip with HolidayPirates, a winner realises that their documents are not in order, HolidayPirates will not be liable for arranging an alternative trip.
3.10 The prize(s) may constitute a taxable benefit for the winner(s). The winner(s) will be solely and directly responsible for declaring and paying any tax liability arising in connection with their prize to the relevant tax authority.
4. Exclusion from participation
4.1 HolidayPirates reserves the right to exclude entrants from the Competition if they breach these terms and conditions.
4.2 Furthermore, HolidayPirates reserves the right to exclude entrants who use prohibited tools or otherwise gain an advantage through manipulation, in particular through collective or repeated entries where such entries are not expressly permitted by HolidayPirates. This applies, for example, where automatic scripts, hacking tools, Trojans or viruses are used, or where an entrant gains an advantage through other prohibited means. Providing false personal details or using fake profiles may also result in exclusion from the Competition. Where applicable, prizes may subsequently be withheld or reclaimed.
5. Early cancellation or discontinuation of the Competition
HolidayPirates is entitled to discontinue the Competition before the scheduled end date, or to suspend or modify the Competition, in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the organiser’s control that make it difficult or unreasonable for HolidayPirates to run the Competition in accordance with the original plans. This includes, in particular but without limitation, unauthorised intervention by third parties, technical problems with hardware or software that are beyond the organiser’s control, and breaches of law directly connected with the running of the Competition, including, in particular, tampering with the competition process.
6. Processing of data in connection with the Competition
By participating in the Competition, you consent to us sending you our Newsletter by email in the future, including our best holiday deals and travel information. Your personal data will only be used for this purpose. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

7. Final provisions
By participating in the Competition, the user waives their right to take legal action in relation to the Competition or any prize claimed.
8. Winner Announcement and Publicity
In accordance with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code), HolidayPirates must either publish or make available information indicating that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, HolidayPirates will provide the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who contacts us at [email protected] within one month after the closing date of the Competition.
If a winner objects to their surname and county being published or made available, they may contact HolidayPirates. In such cases, HolidayPirates will still provide the relevant information and the winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upon request.
