HolidayPirates: Terms and Conditions of Entry
“Family Newsletter Campaign 2026”
1. The Prize Draw and the Promoter
The promoter of this online prize draw, “Family Newsletter Campaign 2026” (hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”), is HolidayPirates GmbH, Neue Grünstrasse 18, 10179 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “HolidayPirates”). Entry into the Competition is governed exclusively by the following terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility and Entry
2.1 The Competition is open to residents who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of HolidayPirates, its affiliate companies, and their immediate family members are excluded from participating.
2.2 Entry is open from 10:00 (local time) on 16th March 2026 to 23:59 (local time) on 29th March 2026. There is one (1) prize available, valued at £4,000 (or €4,000 depending on the winner's location). Entry into the Competition is free of charge.
2.3 To enter, participants must register for the family newsletter via the sign-up widget on the Competition page by 29th March 2026 and subsequently confirm their registration via the double opt-in email. Existing newsletter subscribers must re-enter their email address via the widget at https://highlights.holidaypirates.com/win-an-epic-family-holiday to qualify for the draw. User actions may trigger further contest-related emails. Confirmation of subscription is mandatory for a valid entry. After entering, participants will receive a personalised link to share with contacts for additional entries.
2.4 Only those who meet the conditions described in section 2.3 will be entered into the draw. HolidayPirates accepts no responsibility for entries that are late, incomplete, or lost due to technical failure.
3. The Prize and Selection Process
3.1 One prize will be awarded: A family holiday worth £4,000 (equivalent to €4,000). The prize fund is strictly for booking flights and accommodation for the trip. Booking confirmations must be submitted to HolidayPirates following the arrangement. Only one prize is available across all participating markets (Germany, UK, Italy, France, and Spain). Any remaining funds from the prize value following the trip arrangement cannot be claimed as cash or used by third parties not associated with the prize.
3.2 The winner will be selected at random and notified via the email address provided during entry. The draw will take place after 29th March 2026. The winner must respond within two (2) days of notification to confirm their receipt of the prize and provide their full name and address. Failure to respond within this timeframe will result in the prize being forfeited and allocated to a reserve winner. It is the entrant’s responsibility to monitor their email account (including junk folders). For the UK market, the prize value is £4,000 based on exchange rates at the start of the campaign.
3.3 The winner must travel within one year of claiming the prize; otherwise, the prize will be forfeited.
3.4 Delivery of any non-cash elements is free of charge for one delivery attempt across all markets. Any subsequent attempts or additional costs (customs, local taxes) are the responsibility of the winner.
3.5 The prize is non-transferable and non-assignable. No cash alternative or prize substitution is available, except at the discretion of HolidayPirates, who reserve the right to provide a substitute prize of equivalent value.
3.6 HolidayPirates will assist in the holiday arrangement but acts only as a facilitator. HolidayPirates is not liable for the actual execution or performance of the travel services provided by third parties.
3.7 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
3.8 Travel must originate from one of the participating countries: Germany, UK, Italy, France, or Spain.
3.9 Winners are solely responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, and any necessary travel documentation. HolidayPirates is not liable if a winner is unable to travel due to invalid documentation.
3.10 The prize may be subject to tax. The winner is solely responsible for any tax liability arising from the acceptance of the prize.
4. Exclusion from Participation
4.1 HolidayPirates reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these terms and conditions.
4.2 Entrants using unauthorised tools, scripts, or manipulation (including fake profiles or automated entries) will be excluded. In such cases, prizes may be revoked or reclaimed.
5. Cancellation or Modification
HolidayPirates reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if unforeseen circumstances beyond its control (e.g., technical failures, unauthorised intervention, or legal changes) make the continued operation of the Competition impossible or unreasonable.
6. Data Protection
By entering, you consent to receive our newsletter containing holiday deals and travel information. You may unsubscribe or revoke this consent at any time. For full details on how we process your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
7. Final Provisions
By participating, entrants agree that the judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. (This replaces the "waiver of legal action" which is often unenforceable in UK consumer law).
8. Winner Announcement and Publicity
In accordance with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code), HolidayPirates will make the surname and county of the winner available upon request. To request this, please email [[email protected]] within one month of the closing date. If you object to your details being shared, please contact us. Note that we are still required to provide winner details to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) if requested.
