HolidayPirates: Participation Terms and Conditions
“Spin the Wheel App Campaign October 2026”
Competition and organiser
The promoter of this online competition, “Spin the Wheel App Campaign October 2026” (hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”), is HolidayPirates GmbH, Neue Grünstraße 18, 10179 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “HolidayPirates”). Participation in the Competition is governed exclusively by the following terms and conditions.
Participation
2.1 Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Employees of HolidayPirates and its affiliate companies, and their family members, are excluded from participation.
2.2 The Competition runs from 19th October 2026 (10:00 local time) to 8th November 2026 (23:59 local time). There is one prize worth €4,000. There will be one winner across all participating markets. Participation in the Competition is free of charge.
2.3 New and existing users can enter the Competition by completing the following steps:
Download the Urlaubspiraten / HolidayPirates / PiratinViaggio / VakantiePiraten / VoyagesPirates / ViajerosPiratas / TravelPirates / FerienPiraten app via the Competition page. Users who already have the app installed may enter via the in-app pop-up.
Spin the wheel within the app.
Submit a valid email address to complete entry. The email address will be used solely to contact the entrant in the event of a win. Further information on data processing can be found in the privacy notice.
After entering, participants may invite friends to take part in the Competition using a personal referral link. For each successful referral, the participant will receive ten (10) additional entries into the Competition.
A referral is considered successful once the referred person downloads the app and enters the Competition via the referral link. HolidayPirates can only track and inform participants of the number of successful referrals if referred persons create a user account.
2.4 Only entrants who meet the conditions in paragraph 2.3 will be entered into the Competition. HolidayPirates cannot be held liable for late or incomplete entries.
Prize and prize draw
3.1 Only the prize specified below will be awarded:
One holiday worth €4,000. The travel budget may only be used to book flights and accommodation for the trip. Booking confirmations must be sent to HolidayPirates after booking. Only one prize is available across all participating markets (Germany, Austria, Belgium, the UK, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, the USA and the Netherlands). Any money remaining from the prize value after the trip has been arranged (flights, transport and accommodation) cannot be used by a third party not connected to the prize.
3.2 The winner will be drawn and notified on 9th November 2026, by email to the address provided under paragraph 2.3 and by app notification. The winner must confirm receipt of the notification, along with their name and address, using the contact details given in the notification within 24 hours. Otherwise, the right to the prize will lapse and it will be awarded to another entrant. Entrants are responsible for checking their email account for any prize notification from HolidayPirates. Prize values communicated through our channels during the Competition are converted into local currency using the exchange rates on the Competition start date.
3.3 The winner must travel within one year of claiming the prize, or the prize may be forfeited.
3.4 The prize will be paid by bank transfer to the winner’s bank account.
3.5 The prize cannot be assigned or transferred, supplemented or changed. If the prize cannot be made available to the winner, HolidayPirates reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of equivalent value.
3.6 The trip will not be arranged by HolidayPirates. HolidayPirates is not liable for the execution of the trip.
3.7 The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Facebook and Instagram are not available for contact about the Competition.
3.8 Where the prize involves travel, the trip must start from one of the participating countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, the UK, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, the USA or the Netherlands.
3.9 Winners are responsible for ensuring that their passport, visa and any other required travel documents are valid and up to date for any trip they arrange. If, after arranging the trip, the winner finds that their documents are not in order, HolidayPirates will not be liable to provide another trip.
3.10 The prize may be considered a taxable benefit to the winner. The winner will be solely responsible for paying any tax liability arising from the prize to the relevant tax authority.
Exclusion from participation
4.1 HolidayPirates reserves the right to exclude entrants from the Competition if they breach these terms and conditions.
4.2 HolidayPirates also reserves the right to exclude entrants who use prohibited tools or otherwise gain an advantage through manipulation (in particular, collective or repeated entries, unless expressly allowed by HolidayPirates). This includes, for example, the use of automated scripts, hacking tools, Trojans or viruses, or gaining an advantage through any other prohibited means. Providing false personal details or using fake profiles may also result in exclusion. Where applicable, prizes may be withheld or reclaimed after the event.
Early cancellation or suspension of the Competition
HolidayPirates may end the Competition early, or suspend or modify it, in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its control that make running the Competition as planned difficult or unreasonable. This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorised intervention by third parties, technical problems with hardware or software beyond HolidayPirates’ control, and breaches of law directly connected with the Competition, in particular tampering with the Competition process.

Final provisions
By entering the Competition, the entrant waives their right to any legal action relating to the Competition or the prize claimed.
Winner announcement and publicity
In accordance with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code), HolidayPirates must publish or make available information showing that a valid award took place. To meet this obligation, HolidayPirates will provide the surname and county of the winner to anyone who contacts [email address] within one month of the Competition closing date. If the winner objects to their surname and county being published or made available, they may contact HolidayPirates. In such cases, HolidayPirates will still provide this information and the winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) on request.
