We've written about a few different glass lodges in Iceland and Scandinavia but we just couldn't help ourselves with showing you one more!

What makes this one special? Well, for starters it is made almost entirely out of glass, giving you unobstructed views of the surrounding nature from pretty much anywhere in the cottage. Yes, even in the bathroom. And the icing on the cake is that there is a private hot tub on the deck from where you can watch the Northern Lights dance around you.

Read on to learn more about this stunning cottage!

Details

Located on a lava desert in the south of Iceland, just five minutes from the small town of Hella, is this small but cosy glass cottage. And let us tell you, such a secret and secluded location leads to one spectacular stay.

Just imagine watching the sunset from this comfortable bed or waking up to beautiful views of the vast countryside and far off volcanoes.

In the summer months, you'll be able to experience endless sunsets and sunrises. But don't worry, the host provides sleeping masks so you can get your beauty sleep without all the summer light pouring in through the glass windows.

The cottage also comes with a fully equipped kitchen and is also stocked with oil, vinegar, spices, and complimentary coffee, tea, pasta and rice to use.

And for those that love a unique bathroom, you'll be able to shower in the only full glass bathroom in the world, with a view of the most active Icelandic volcanoes.

And while there won't be any neighbours peeping in, there are also blinds that you can pull down just in case you feel too exposed.

From the cottage, you'll have easy access to all the Icelandic hotspots like the Blue Lagoon, Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Fagradsfjall and the Golden Circle. You'll also have the best fine dining restaurant along the south coast - Hotel Ragnar - nearby in case you fancy an expensive meal out.

Most importantly, there is a private hot tub located right outside of the cottage that is set at 39°C throughout the year.

We can't think of a better place to watch the Northern Lights.

What does it cost to stay a night here? You can book this bucket-list-worthy accommodation on Airbnb from £648 a night.

It surely isn't the cheapest accommodation option, however it is sure to be the highlight of your holiday.
