Pirates, it's been a tough few years and pretty much everyone in the world needs a bit of a holiday right now.

Which is why this story took our attention: Corona Beer are opening up their own private island in the Caribbean - offering visitors a chance to disconnect from technology, unwind and relax.

Unfortunately, access to the island isn't that simple. Residents of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Peru and South Africa all have a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip. Alternatively, you can win an auction - though currently this is not open to UK residents either.

But for the lucky winners, the prize is a doozy. You'll be flown out to the island for an all-inclusive slice of paradise with private bungalows, daily meals whipped up by a chef using ingredients sourced from the island, exclusive beach access and treetop viewing platforms. And beer, we assume.

There are also heaps of activities to enjoy: yoga, volleyball, star-watching and night swims among bioluminescent plankton.

Corona Island will also have a sustainable focus, and is working to achieve 'Blue Verified' status from Oceanic Global for being environmentally conscious. The farm on the island will provide food and allow guests to enjoy a stay that is more in harmony with nature.

We've got our fingers and toes crossed that the island opens up for UK residents soon!
