Countries that COULD be added to Green List

Pirates, the announcement stating which countries could be added to the green list could come as early as tomorrow and we are hearing a few rumours of what countries may be included.

A few popular destinations for holidaymakers, could be placed on the Green List, the government has said.

The countries looking most likely to be given the good to go include Malta, Finland, Grenada, the Cayman Islands, Fiji, the British Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, Turks and Caicos and Anguilla - this will for sure give us more of a choice of where to go this summer.

It is also rumoured that instead of the blanket ban on countries at the last announcement the government may look at individual islands and allow some of those to go green with the mainlands remaining on the amber list.

This could mean that even if mainland Spain and Greece remain on the amber list, the islands that are part of the same country, could be graded differently by the traffic light system.

We could see the mega popular Canary Islands and Balearic Islands (Majorca, Ibiza and Menorca) as well as the Greek islands of Corfu, Zante, Crete, Rhodes and Kos put on the green list.

Those returning from Green List countries currently do not need to quarantine on return.

The announcement will hopefully take place before the end of this week with changes coming into place the following week.
