Switzerland is reopening this Saturday, quarantine-free!
Great new, pirates! Switzerland just announced that all Brits who can provide proof of vaccination will be able to enter Switzerland, quarantine-free from 26 June.
The Swiss National Tourism Board said: “The desire to travel is increasing at a steady pace and many are now planning their trips for the summer and autumn. With the UK as the second most important European source market for Switzerland, this step is very much welcomed by the Swiss tourism industry. UK residents who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid, will be allowed to enter without quarantine."
We recently reported the possibility that double-jabbed Brits could be allowed to travel to Amber list countries without quarantine on return, but are waiting to see if this will be the case with the next government travel update.
Currently, if you return from a country on the amber list you will have to quarantine at home for up to 10 days, or use the test-to-release system to leave the house from day 5.
What do you think, pirates? Would you book a trip to Switzerland?
