5* Maldives resort Soneva Fushi was already proper lush - seeing as its luxury villas are located within a UNESCO Biosphere reserve.

But it seems like they wanted to kick up the wow factor at dinnertime: and boy did they deliver.

Located high above the leafy jungle below, the aptly named 'Flying Sauces' is a gourmet dining experience on an elevated platform - accessible through a 656 foot (200m) zipline route.

Yes, you read that right. The restaurant is on a platform 40 foot (12m) in the air with views across the resort.

Ideal for both adrenaline junkies and gourmet food lovers, this concept is one of the first to actually marry the two passions together in one thrilling experience.

You may even be able to see your villa out on the water while you dine.

The zipline element sees hungry diners first strapped into safety harnesses and embark on a hair-raising eagle-eye tour of the jungle canopy

You can bet soaring through the treetops is a great way to build up an appetite!

For those who have a fear of heights, just don't look down and think of the dessert waiting for you at the end of the course.

Once you arrive at your table in the sky, Chef Rasal has a delectable seasonal menu prepared for you in the open kitchen.

As you might expect, Chef Rasal has worked with some of the world's best chefs in the finest Michelin-starred restaurants, so you're sure to be blown away.

There is a six-course menu awaiting diners brave enough to travel in by zip line. Dishes are made with seasonal ingredients, and they all sound amazing: Hokkaido scallops carpaccio with crispy wild rice and black cod with artichoke puree and teriyaki truffle sauce. Yes PLEASE.

Yes, I will take two of whatever the below is.

After a gut busting meal and a thrilling treetop journey, all that's left to do is make your way back to you luxury villa in paradise.

Regardless of how good the meal is, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is one you won't forget in a hurry!
