Pirates, we've spotted a mega-deal to stunning Sri Lanka, bookable via Lastminute.com. From £963, you could spend nine nights at a 5-star beachfront property with flights and breakfast included. We were shocked to see this under £1k, but that's not even the best thing about this deal.

You are saving £100s by booking as a package. The same flights cost almost £700, and booking the hotel alone on those dates with breakfast included costs £1,500+. So this works out as a saving of £462 per person.

5⭐️ Citrus Waskaduwa looks gorgeous. Situated right on a sandy beach, surrounded by a manicured green garden dotted with palm trees. There's a pool that looks out towards the sea and a spa and wellness centre, plus plenty of chill spots for you to find your zen.

It's also highly rated, with a 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor.

Note on the weather: In May, you can expect warm weather, with average daytime highs of 29C. The monsoon season is just starting, so there will be some rain showers during this time. However, the rains are usually short and intermittent, allowing for plenty of clear and sunny periods.
