Madeira’s climate is warm year round. Even in January and February it's still T-shirt weather, the highs are still around 19°C, making it one of the warmest places in Europe in winter. At night and at altitude, a sweater or fleece is needed though. Due to the island's climate, clouds often come and go and the sun is never guaranteed. But when it’s shining, it’s quite hot.
