The hotel, Castello Apartments, are seriously well reviewed across Tripadvisor and Booking.com. Previous guests wax lyrical about the beautiful gardens that surround the property and its ideal location, which is a 5-minute walk from the centre of Plakias and the beach. This area in particular is known for having some of the best beaches in Crete 🏖.

The dates we've found are for late March/early April, so there is a 16C-19C average temperature. However, as this hotel is in the south it's generally hotter and drier than the rest of the island, as you are protected by the central mountain range.

You'll fly into Heraklion Airport (HER), which is around 1.5 hours drive from the hotel, so it is advisable to hire a car for this one. Free parking is available at the hotel.
