Christmas markets
The Christmas markets are usually on from the end of November until late December; make sure to check official websites for dates before you book.
While there isn’t just one single official Christmas market for the city of Gothenburg, Liseberg is the largest, most famous, and main Christmas market in the city (and the largest in all of Scandinavia). The park is spectacularly transformed with over five million twinkling lights, an ice rink, a winter market, and Santa’s Village. Tickets are being released from October.
Note: If you want to experience other local markets during your trip, Gothenburg also hosts smaller, highly popular traditional markets, such as the free weekend market in the historic cobblestone streets of the Haga neighbourhood and the Kronhusjul market.
We might be pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. However, with deals this hot, things change quickly—flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. But mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. If you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry, we’re working on more great offers.
