📍 Great for visiting Kyoto & Osaka ✈️ Flights via Peking 💰 Early-bird bargain
From £799 pp
Pirates, an 11-night Japan getaway for £799, including flights, luggage, and hotel, is genuinely bonkers. We’ve got the screenshot to prove it!
Your base camp is the Urban Hotel Kyoto (Fushimi). It’s the perfect launchpad for active explorers: clean, functional, and just a 15-minute stroll from the world-famous Fushimi Inari Shrine. Visiting in January is a total pro-move; you can roll out of bed at 6:30 AM and capture the iconic red gates without a single tourist in your frame.
At this price, the hotel is essentially a freebie. That leaves you with a massive stack of "fun money" for Universal Studios Osaka, high-end dinners, or a serious shopping spree in downtown Kyoto.
You've got the smallest room size included at this price. If you prefer a bigger room, you can upgrade from £30 in the booking path.
Transfers and getting around
The fastest way to Kyoto is the JR Haruka Express (the one with Hello Kitty on it!). Don’t pay the full price at the machine. Buy a "Haruka One-Way Ticket" online in advance (via Klook or the JR West site) for roughly ¥2,200 (£12). It’s nearly 40% cheaper than the standard walk-up fare.
The Haruka takes you to Kyoto Station. From there, don’t take a taxi (expensive). Switch to the JR Nara Line (Platform 8, 9, or 10), and it’s just a 5-minute hop to Inari Station. Your hotel is a short walk from there.
Before you fly, register on the Visit Japan Web portal to get your Immigration and Customs QR codes. By January 2027, KIX will be fully renovated and high-tech; having these codes lets you skip the manual paperwork and breeze through the "Smart Lanes."
If you don’t want to drag your big bags through two trains, look for the Yamato (Black Cat) counter at KIX arrivals. For about £12–£15, they will deliver your suitcase directly to the Urban Hotel Kyoto by the next morning. You can just hop on the train with a small backpack and start exploring immediately.
While at the airport station, grab an ICOCA card (or add a Suica/Pasmo to your Apple/Google Wallet). You’ll need this for every bus and local train in Kyoto—no more fumbling for coins in the cold!

We might be pirates, but we’re an honest bunch. We check all our deals when we review them to make sure everything is available. However, with deals this hot, things change quickly—flight prices fluctuate, hotel rooms sell out, currencies yo-yo. And just so you know, local taxes might still apply – even treasure has its fine print. But mainly, demand for the best deals means the lowest prices don’t last long. If you’ve missed out this time, don’t worry, we’re working on more great offers.
