Pirates, a new volcanic eruption has begun yesterday in Iceland! The area is being closely monitored and it currently poses no threat to infrastructure or inhabitants.
The airport is still open and flights into Keflavik (Reykjavik) will be getting an unbe-LAVA-ble view of the eruption.
Volcanic eruptions can last months, but we aren't certain how long this one will be visable. Maybe you'll get lucky if you fly in the coming weeks or months to see this once-in-a-lifetime view.
Plus, Play airlines are currently offering a HOT deal with 25% off direct flights to Iceland between September and March. We found prices from £77 return in September. You may run the risk of missing to eruption, but you'll still be in for an amazing time in Iceland regardless.
