Pirates, ready to swap the grey skies for somewhere a bit more exciting? Air France might be your ticket out.
Since 1933, they’ve been flying the flag for French-style travel – think proper service, decent comfort and a bit of flair. They're known for making the whole flying thing a little less painful, no matter what cabin you're in.
They’ve just bagged themselves a 5-star rating from APEX again – a nod from passengers who’ve rated over a million flights. That covers everything from the seat and food to the entertainment and service – basically, the bits that actually matter when you’re in the air.
Expect modern planes like the A350 and A220, swish cabin upgrades, and a decent mix of routes whether you’re heading to Tokyo or Toulouse. If you’re flying Business or La Première, it’s all about top-notch meals from fancy chefs and a wine list curated by an actual sommelier – très chic.
They’ve also got an app (Air France Press) where you can download newspapers and mags before take-off, so you’ve got something to read without getting hit by roaming charges.
From April to October 2026, Air France will be flying to nearly 190 destinations in 74 countries – up to 900 flights a day.
Theses two new routes launched from London:
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: 3 flights a week (with A350)
Orlando, Florida: 4 flights a week (with A350-900)
Yep, London to Punta Cana in the Domican Republic is also being added from 13 January to 28 March 2026. That’s three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Flights will be on a Boeing 777-300ER.
Pirates, before you set off on your Air France adventure, here’s what you need to know about your luggage – what’s included for free and what might cost you extra.
Find out how much baggage you can take for free or as an option, and what transport rules apply.
With a series of measures to limit their environmental impact:
Air France knows the climate crisis can’t be ignored, and they're stepping up with their Air France ACT programme. They've rolled out five key ways to reduce and avoid CO₂ emissions:
Bringing in a new generation of aircraft
Increasing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
Flying smarter with eco-piloting techniques
Offering more responsible in-flight meals
Making it easier to combine train and air travel
Flying Blue keeps things simple: earn Miles when you travel or shop with partners, then spend them how you like. The more XP you collect, the higher your status and the better the perks.
With Air France and KLM, you can earn up to 8 Miles for every euro spent, depending on your level. And your Miles won’t expire – just take an eligible flight at least once every two years!
