Pirates, do you sometimes wish you could stay in a stunning beach destination, but pay much less for the experience? Of course you do! Which is why we've found this seaside escape in Albania that gives you all the charms of a Mediterranean resort, but with a tiny price tag.
We've found 7-nights at a resort along the 10km sandy stretch of beach in Durrës, including breakfast and flights for £223* per person. Considering the dates we've found are for May, when average temperatures reach 25C, you'd often see a similar Mediterranean holiday costing around £100-200 more than this!
The hotel has a lovely pool and garden area, it's a short walk to the beach and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, so it's what you'd expect from a 3-star property.
Flights are very affordable too, with return fares averaging under £50 across multiple dates, and the hotel is around a 40-minute drive from the airport.
Besides the beach however, one of the biggest draws to the area has to be the impressive Roman amphitheatre, 9th-century church with mosaic-covered walls and incredible The Archaeological Museum.
