Cheap all-inclusive holidays: All-inclusive getaways around the world

It's easy to see why so many people choose all-inclusive holidays. All-inclusive resorts offer fantastic prices and include all snacks, meals and drinks - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. This makes them one of the best-value holiday types you can go for, especially when you're going away with the whole family. An all-inclusive holiday also happens to be a very convenient choice for those booking a last-minute holiday

We're always on the lookout for the best cheap all-inclusive holiday deals for you. If you're looking for a trip that's both all-inclusive and affordable, then you're in the right place! What's not to love - you can make big savings whilst still indulging in a luxury holiday by choosing one of our all-inclusive deals.

The best all-inclusive holiday destinations

While more and more places are offering all-inclusive holidays, there are certain destinations that keep travellers coming back time and time again. Here are some of our top choices for booking a no-fuss all-inclusive holiday that won't break the bank.

1. Turkey

It's hard to pick a favourite spot in Turkey, but this country has something for every kind of traveller. You may prefer the fast-moving city life of Istanbul or the traditional culture of the small villages along the coast of the Mediterranean. What many people come for, however, are the stunning beaches, where hot and sunny days are practically guaranteed. Booking all-inclusive gets you access to the best spots without having to do lots of research.

2. Greece

A holiday in Greece never goes amiss. World-renowned (and inexpensive) food, crumbling ruins, rocky beaches overlooking turquoise waters, sunny days and cool nights: you can get it all in one trip. It’s easy to find all-inclusive holidays in Greece that put you right next to the beach, with pools, amenities and access to extras like guides or transport for checking out the sites.

3. Caribbean

While it may be a bit further afield, the Caribbean is definitely worth the trip. If all inclusive to you = relaxation, then the Caribbean is your spot. While it may have a slower pace than some of the more party-central destinations, a Caribbean all-inclusive is all about spending time sitting by the beach with a cocktail in hand, letting the day float by. Some of our favourite spots are Barbados and St Lucia.

4. Cuba

Cuba has enticed visitors for years who hope to take in the country’s signature aesthetics (bright colours, beautiful vintage cars and glistening beaches) as well as the small-town charm that seems to exist even in the most bustling areas. If a luxury all-inclusive holiday is what you’re hoping for, look no further. Whether it’s signing up for salsa dancing, bar hopping or simply lounging by the pool, you can find the ultimate all-inclusive getaways in Cuba.

5. Portugal

An old classic (for a reason), Portugal is a haven for foodies and nature lovers alike. The Algarve, with its stunning views, glittering beaches, impressive rock formations and fresh seafood, is one of the most popular spots for an all-inclusive trip. A great budget destination (and not too far a flight), Portugal is ideal for that long weekend getaway or group trip you’ve been meaning to take but have been too busy to plan.

6. Spain

Another popular choice, Spain is one of the travel destinations that really put all-inclusive holidays on the map. Whether it's a beachside stay on one of the picture-perfect Balearic Islands or a leisurely week at Spanish mainland hotspots like Costa Brava and Costa del Sol, you're almost guaranteed sunshine regardless of the time of year.

What is an all-inclusive holiday?

As the name suggests, all-inclusive means that everything pertaining to your holiday is included in a single price. That means that your flights, hotel and meals are all paid for ahead of departure, so you can kick back and relax with nothing to worry about upon arrival. This makes all-inclusive holidays a great option for families, with the kids able to grab drinks and snacks as they please and parents not having to fret about mounting costs.

As well as breakfast, lunch and dinner, most all-inclusive hotels and resorts offer up both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks in between meals and sometimes even wellness treatments like massages. The free drinks selection is sometimes limited, though, which means that if it's a fancy cocktail or expensive wine you're after, you might have to shell out extra.

However, the extras provided outside of the flights, accommodation and food included in the price differs between operators, hotels and resorts. Always have a close look at what is included in the price with each offer and operator before making your booking.

What is all-inclusive-plus?

In a nutshell, all-inclusive-plus covers most or all of the things that aren't available in the standard all-inclusive package. Once again, this differs between operators. Some common examples are a much wider range of alcoholic drinks, eating from the a la carte menu instead of the buffet, a regularly restocked minibar in the hotel room, room service and more.

All-inclusive-plus could make sense for you if you're heading to a hotel that offers sport courses or equipment for hire, such as windsurfing or diving. Equipment hire and even training are often included in an all-inclusive-plus package, whereas this would cost considerably more for those on the standard package.

How is all-inclusive different from full board?

Full-board holidays cover all your essential needs but not the extras that all-inclusive holidays offer. This means that full board will get you your three meals a day during standard meal times, but nothing outside of this. With full board, drinks are not included with meals, although breakfast usually comes with coffee, tea and juice. Drinks from the bar, snacks and hot drinks in between meal times and everything else will all cost extra.

Similar to full board is the all-inclusive-light package that many operators now offer. All-inclusive-light doesn't include all the drinks and snacks in between meal times, but the difference to full board is that drinks during meal times are included in the price. Although the main advantage of all-inclusive-light is that it's cheaper, depending on how many extras you fancy while there, these fees could add up.

All-inclusive holiday package FAQs

Do you still have some unanswered questions about taking an all-inclusive holiday? Are you still not sure whether this is the right type of holiday for you? Here are the top all-inclusive frequently asked questions - and all the information you need to book an all-inclusive stay with confidence.

  • What is usually included in an all-inclusive holiday package?
All-inclusive packages, as the name suggests, usually cover your accommodation, all meals, snacks and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). If your accommodation has amenities and activities, a package could also include access to these, including gyms, pools, water sports and evening entertainment.

  • Are all-inclusive holidays good for families?
Absolutely, and lots of all-inclusive resorts offer family-friendly rooms as well as kid-friendly amenities, like kids' clubs, pools and scheduled activities. Thanks to having all your meals, drinks and entertainment included, an all-inclusive holiday is actually easier to budget for compared to any other type of family holiday.

  • Are your flights included in an all-inclusive holiday package?
That depends on the operator, so it's always worth checking whether the price includes flights.

  • Should you tip during your all-inclusive holiday?
This is where you should check the terms and conditions of your package, as tips aren't always included. Even if they are, it's considered polite to tip if you find service to be exceptional.

  • Can I request particular meals and drinks at an all-inclusive holiday resort?
Most meals will be served buffet style, not à la carte, but if you have dietary requirements or allergies, it's best to let the resort know beforehand so that they can cater for this. Basic alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included, but if you'd like to have premium alcohol brands or specialty cocktails, you may need to pay extra.

  • How do I choose the right all-inclusive holiday?
That all depends on what you're looking for. Consider your budget, if you have a preferred destination, amenities and dining options. Once you've narrowed down your choices, check out reviews too.
